For the 614 MW Basin Electric, Laramie River 2 power plant in Wyoming, USA, TLT-Turbo Inc. supplied two high performance induced draft fans to provide efficient air circulation and flue gas removal at the plant. These fans play a key role in maintaining the operational performance and efficiency of the power plant, which plays an important role in the region's energy supply.
The challenge of this project was to develop induced draught fans that would meet the high airflow and pressure requirements of the power plant. These fans had to operate reliably under extreme operating conditions to ensure efficient ventilation and flue gas removal. It was also critical that the fans help reduce emissions and optimize the power plant's energy efficiency.
Solution from TLT-Turbo Inc: High-performance induced draught fans for the highest demands
TLT-Turbo Inc. developed two induced draught fans with an impressive power rating of 12,350 kW especially for the Laramie River 2 power plant. These fans deliver a flow of 843 m3/s at a pressure of 12,866 Pa, which was required to optimize air circulation and flue gas removal in the plant. In addition to high efficiency, the fans were designed to meet the plant's environmental requirements.
TLT-Turbo Inc. induced draft fans have made a significant contribution to the efficiency of the Laramie River 2 Generating Station. Their performance ensures effective ventilation and flue gas removal, which in turn optimizes the plant's operating performance. At the same time, operating costs have been reduced and the plant's emission requirements have been met. The powerful fans thus contribute to both cost reduction and environmental protection.
